not sure (and don't really care) what the "drama" was all about. I joined 'cause I DO NOT like the new "design". Let's put the orange ribbon as our main photo and spread the word - get people to join the tribe and make a point about getting the old layout back.
Does anyone know if they did any user testing on the new design? Any focus groups of current users? Seems clunky and confusing to me.
I WANT THE OLD LAYOUT back! I'm fine with whizzy buttons and all, but puhleezze....

Tue, March 30, 2004 - 12:14 PMplease don't be obtuse. there was a link for what, 2 or 3 months that took you to the user test page for the redesign, right smack dab in the middle of your homepage.
otherwise, please find something important to feel a sense of loss about.

Tue, March 30, 2004 - 8:09 PMThe main photo is the original logo as we were all happy and used to seeing it, once upon a time. I do think that the original logo is a stronger statement, given the purpose of this tribe. The focus is on the idea of a return to something more like what we once had as a home page. Of course, since change is inevitable, even that, too, is up for discussion.
If you wish to display an orange ribbon as your personal icon, that's fine. I think that, as far as ribbon causes go, ours is a bit back burner, say, in comparison with breast cancer and the Madrid bombings/anti-terrorism movement.
